Decent 12v lithium battery
1 of 1 found this helpful Time will have to tell how this battery holds up so far so good. I didn't read the part where it says 2.0 amp continuous but it is rated at no more than that. I bought this battery for a loud portable boombox and it works fine until you turn it up past 60% volume and it puts the battery into lock down mode. The only way you can get the battery to reset is by connecting the supplied charger for a few seconds. There's a switch and an LED on the battery so there's a IC board somewhere with a current limiter. The plug and wire can only hold 2 A so that answers one of the questions about having the current limiter. The other is obviously safety. This battery was designed for use with remote camera stations and meant to run either 12V cameras or a DVR that was designed to use the standard 12 v center pole positive plug. I cut mine off and wired it directly hoping there was larger wire but there wasn't so I will remember that next time I buy one of these so I don't ruin my warranty chances. The seller did state that it does generally take more than 8 hours to fully charge this battery due to the slow charge process that Li style batteries requires so I can tell that between the easy charge cycle to the 2 AMP max output this battery will last not being charged and discharged to death. I will use a sealed lead acid for the amplifier circuit which makes this boombox heavy and use the 12v 20000 mAh to power the electronics such as the Raspberry PI 3 touchscreen I integrated in to a 2 port cigarette lighter with 2 usb chargers that I put in there which makes this battery a good choice. It is light duty but holds a lot of juice so I'm assuming it will go days with a small load but I recharge it after a couple of days of playing the box. So far so good with this battery. Like I mentioned before, we'll have to see how long this unit will hold up not to mention in all that how light this battery is. It is a very lightweight unit compared to an 8 Ah sealed lead acid battery I bought for the amplifier. That makes this boombox not so portable and no one wanting to bring it to a campfire or picnic or a hiking trip. No one wants to lug around a 50lb speaker box just to hear Led Zeppelin at over 500 yards away.

Fast, reliable, stable with the right RAM
Very fast, stable after fighting with ram. Had a G3220 laying around and slapped that in there and failed to post. Rearranged the ram around and posted and stable. Had an ice 4160t in a Dell and swapped the 3220 with the 4160t and failed to post. The Dell took the 3220 no prob(thought that would have be more of an issue) slapped the 3220 back in and failed to post. After changing the ram around it posted. Put the i3 4160t and it posted but I wanted more than 4gb of ram and took two 2gb sticks of the same brand different xmp profile and it worked and xmp enabled and and still stable for now. I want to slap an I5 or I7 from the haswell gen and have a pretty wicked cheap gaming rig. Works with an R7 370 2gb from vision tek out of the box. Even with the low power 4160t games run with all options at 720p liquid. My screen is 720p so no need for unnecessary expensive hardware just to game. This old haswell system with 100 to 150 graphics such as a GTX 1050 ti or rx480 you can game hard with Asus stability. Just have the right RAM .
