Better than my 2DS XL?
I previously owned a 2DS XL which was fine but it was awkward in my hands. I learned to deal with it. Then all of a sudden, it stopped working and I needed a replacement unit so I can at least play my Mario Kart 7 again.
This unit was just the right price and refurbished by Nintendo who also by the way provides excellent service. This fits better in my hand and the controls are located in a comfortable position on the unit where my thumbs don't get hurt or tired.
The cartridge slot on the top is cool and the SD Card slot is easily accessible, I like how it actually uses full size SD cards as opposed to the 2DS XL which had micro SD Cards.
Only drawback is I can't play my SNES Downloads here, but I have the SNES Classic I can play them on if I want. Otherwise I had to call Nintendo to associate my Nintendo ID with the new one and remove it from the old one. It only took 1 hour for the transfer to complete.
It seems to be a durable unit so parents ordering it for their kids can feel good knowing it will last. I think you should at least buy a rubber sleeve and a case for it on eBay to protect it, also affordable as well.

Good enough.
Works just like the genuine replacement. No issues with an incorrect fit. Make sure when you buy that you look up your model of Shark before purchasing as others have different dimensions.

Good for the price
0 of 1 found this helpful For reconditioned, I did not expect much but so far after a few weeks, it still holds out solid and acts like a brand new machine. Windows 10 automatically recognized it.
Did not care for the included disk, but thank goodness for alternatives to the bloatware from the big C or N companies (You know which software companies I am talking about, right?)
