Unobtainium for a reasonable price
This is a new and unused part, in a pristine and unused condition. It differs from new only in that it is fully "loaded" and has all of the componentry included internally to bolt on directly. As the motorcycle that this part would fit has not been produced for nearly 40 years it is truly difficult to ascribe "value", it is much in the eye of the beholder. If you do not possess this motorcycle or an affinity for the part and your interest was geology or accounting or art you might just consign this to the trash can if you came across it. On the other hand like me if you spent a youth in the business and this represented the then pinnacle of motorcycle development you may wish to acquire it and put it on your wall.
I walk a middle line.
I will enjoy it as an object for a time but soon it will take the place of a scratched and worn part and make my 1982 Honda CB900F just a little more like it was when it was new.
