Can't stop listening to her anthems. Neither will you.
1 of 1 found this helpful Well, golly. I was shooting pool in a neighbor's basement when The Beatles topped the charts with "I Want to Hold Your Hand." So... I'm pretty, um, mature. I generally like all kinds of good music. Coltrane, The Who, Howling Wolf, Styx, K.D. Lang, Bach, Patsy -- you get the idea. But there are certain artists who get most of us up & moving around whenever one of their 'anthems' turns up on the radio or elsewhere. Ms. Larkin (and her gang, of course) is one of those for me. Prior to ordering up on the 12-track 'Greatest Hits' -- and after viewing the DVD 'Bad Reputation' and skimming through Dave Thompson's unauthorized biography of the same title -- I listened to a few of the 'vintage' CD releases, but kept going back to (purists be damned) Greatest Hits. Well-mastered and fun all the way through. Crank it up and open a window.
