Faux Fireplace

I'm pleased with this product, just hate to purchase products with limited or non-existent support; this is from China. The quality is fine, a little rough here and there but it gives a fairly good illusion of a fire. The heater puts out the same level of heat as a portable space heater but lacks a thermostat for temperature control. The packaging for the product was good. No damage occurred during shipping. The manual is about as general as it gets; no real value. My expectations is this will require some yearly maintenance, the blower motor has bushings, not ball bearings and subject to dust and getting stuck or noisy. None of the maintenance mentioned are described in the manual so you are on your own.

Quality parts

The item(s) arrived in a bubble bag and were pretty much intact. The boxes were a bit squished, but not items missing or damaged. I was pleased these were "Made in USA" items and did not show any characteristics of being cost reduced parts. They looked, felt and performed like the originals. I suspect these were NOS; the boxes looked a little yellow, but not full of greasy finger prints or anything like that. I have read reviews the newer bubble packaged versions have cheap, loose capacitors. I'm pleased these did not show that characteristic. I’m very pleased with the purchase.

High quality contemporary fixture

I read the reviews on this product before I purchased it. A few people felt the fit against the ceiling was less than perfect, but mine fits nicely. I’m really pleased with these fixtures; I purchased three. The only improvement I would suggest is providing a cover (at the ceiling) that is held in place with a blind thumb nut. These lamps have two visible nuts with little brushed stainless nuts holding the cover to the ceiling. I simply prefer the cleaner “no nut showing” look. Excellent, Excellent product, unfortunately made in China.
