Annie Widescreen DVD, in the States.
I like the product for the Widescreen viewing. To Pan & Scan this (or any film) is JUST PLAIN WRONG! The film 'Annie' was re-released with 5.1 surround dolby digital & DTS, but only in Pan/Scan format in America (or DVD region 1). Yet they let Europe have a Widescreen DTS 5.1. What's up with that? Not only are we sending our jobs over seas, lets give them the good copies of OUR movies too!? In any event, the older, out of print, release of 'Annie' in 2.0 surround was suprisingly of great picture & sound quality. It really deserves an Excellent review... if I didn't know better ones are out there... for some other region to enjoy.

Mill Creek vs Anchor Bay Release
RE: Mill Creek Release of Roseanne Season One (marked as uncut). PROS - All episodes seem to be uncut except for "Workin' Overtime". (In the beginning Roseanne has Jackie call, making the phone ring to wake up Dan. You can see phone is moved in the edited scene) Keep in mind the Anchor Bay release also cuts this, and every episode too. So, get the Mill Creek release.
CONS - That one mentioned scene removed. The source used in this set has flickers and imperfections in the picture. Anchor Bay didn't have this issue. To me losing the pretty picture for more complete episodes is worth the trade off.

So Far So Good
0 of 1 found this helpful Discs are so compressed in wrapper, the box looked too small.
But I counted one of the packs and the numbers did add up.
Towards the bottom of the pile, the discs had spots of debris smeared on data side.
I wiped, burned a few and sampled the product. So far they work... so far.
