Useful yet entertaining
First, I'll admit Robert Newton Peck is one of my favorite writers for making me chuckle (or even snort) aloud while otherwise quietly reading. He is also one of less-than-a-handful of writers who have gotten me to sob & need to wipe away tears. (read "A Day No Pigs Would Die") This book, "Fiction is Folks" provides many useful practices for improving fiction writing. The lessons are filled with examples from his own published works. It is presented in his very entertaining style.
