Great value, but not as good as original controllers
Definitely better than some generic controllers I've tried. There are a few issues:
- The buttons are not pressure-sensitive - they are either "on" or "off." A few games (like SOCOM) depend on pressure-sensitivity - you press R1 harder to lob grenades farther. You just can't do that on these controllers.
- The cords are shorter. Original PS2 controllers have about a 7-ft cord. These are about 4.5 ft. That means that you have to pull your PS2 out or sit closer to the TV.
- The feel of the controllers is not as nice as the original. The buttons feel harder and lighter.
Having said all that, these controllers are still a great value at the $15 price point. They should work flawlessly most games - GTA, Tekken, Katamari. Also, the clear plastic lets you see the action of the buttons too, which is pretty cool.
If your controllers don't work anymore, don't hesitate to get this set.

Great system
Very good system! It plays SNES games perfectly ... with a few minor issues. The gameplay and graphics are totally faithful & correct. If you love SNES and your system is lagging, don't hesitate to get this system.
If you've tried replacement controllers, you know the controllers are very important. These are great - no complaints there.
The power supply is simpler than I remember from the SNES, a simple DC adapter, that thankfully plugs in more firmly than the original SNES power supplies. For A/V, the system only plugs in with RCA - no coax splitter or (regrettably) HDMI.
Minor issues:
- The reset button is faulty - don't use it! It can cause power to flicker and wipe a saved game. If you want to restart on a game with save data, use the main power switch.
- The controller cables are just a tad short, so you may need to place the system on the coffee table to play comfortably.
So there are a few small issues, but really, this is a great a value and a no-brainer if you want to play your old SNES games.
