Be careful with the foot lever!!!
This is a great product as there are many uses for it, definitely recommended. I will not write a long review about it as many have done so before me. I would like to mention one thing I have not seen brought up though. The foot lever on the vise- It does not need to be pressed with any significant amount of strength in order to hold your material. DO NOT press down too hard on it. Underneath the arm, there are (2) rows of square shaped holes that run parallel across the length of it. If you "over-clamp", the teeth used to stick in the holes get pressed out of them, causing the edges of the square holes to wear down.. If done repeatedly, the arm will continue to slip more and more frequently and the vise will lose its clamping strength. In conclusion- You truly do not need to press down hard on the foot lever to securely lock your material in place. Take it easy on the lever and you will have a very helpful and long lasting tool.
