this is a flood light of flood lights.
Great light area coverage, like no other light. Slim profile in front is nice, it is good for using in tight spaces. Physical mechanical switch is awesome to have. Battery life is poor: distance usage becomes less useful by day 2. Day three it is still working but getting pretty dim. Been thinking about fabricating one similar myself, for the last couple of years happy to see someone else thought about it too and made it happen.

Double check the needle bearing diameter to stator shaft.
Everything fits with the exception of the needle bearing: it fits on the outside diameter where it goes into the static housing but not the inside diameter where it contacts the rotor shaft: the bearing is too small. Perhaps I ordered the wrong kit? Seems there may have been a similar issue in a previously received kit for a trx300; the original was rusted and pitted so the assumption was the oxidation had caused the size discrepancy. Stator mounted to a drill chuck, rotated and filed gave brought functional life with an unknown but probably shorter life.
