Love-hate relationship
2 of 2 found this helpful I have a love-hate relationship with this film. On the one hand, it portrays the chaos in Italy's history that in some ways continues with extreme groups having THE answer and being willing to fight for their ideology. On the other hand, I love the humanity of the two main characters, who strive to forge a friendship in spite of the social-political forces pulling them apart. However, there are a few scenes that are so brutal, I cannot watch them, specifically ones involving Atila and Regina.
