works when away

Works great as advertised. Unlike others this product has a timer built in and the schedule is saved internally. It does not rely on a connection to my phone or the cloud for that purpose. I can install this at a remote location away from my home with no network or internet connection, program it conveniently using the app while I am around and then leave It will exe ute the programmed schedule while you’re away. It will even recover from a power outage while you’re away. The only downside for that application is that the app itself does not keep track of the active schedule. Meaning once you’re back home and away from the device, you can’t double-check the current programming. If the switch is installed away from your home and thus outside your bluetooth range, you need to write that down at a separate place.

good hardware and instructions, ok'ish software

- comparatively easy installation for those who are qualified to open a circuit breaker box. - accurate installation instructions - software has a somewhat cumbersome operating concept, not exactly easy to get from where you are to where you want to be - software not easy to customize to one's needs. For example, you will need luck and/or patience if you'd like to see a display indicating consumption AND solar production side-by-side during the course of the day rather than in separate displays or momentary bubble snapshots, or if you'd like to see weekly stats indicated in kWh/day rather than $/day, or if you'd prefer to see the week starting with Sundays etc. etc.
