Terrific Watch
The watch was advertised as "refurbished", but I believe it was brand new. It came with tags, a Citizen pillow and box, a manual and a 5 year warranty card. I chose it because it is the Eco-Drive solar rechargeable, because it has no date (which every other month has to be manually reset) and is basically useless, it looks great with its gold plating and alligator pattern leather band, and is a formal watch for formal occasions. The watch is just what I need because the watch has a narrower diameter, is quite thin and has a shorter band for a thinner wrist. I'm sure the band would not fit a thick wrist. I see that the watch is out of stock from Official Watch Deals. It is available from other stores starting at $185. I paid $70. As for accuracy, on the 11th day since I set it exactly to time.gov, it was 1 second fast, Over the next two weeks it picked up an additional 1 second per week (3 seconds fast). However today is the 34th day since I set it (almost 5 weeks), and it is a total of 4 seconds fast! When we change the time on Nov 1, I will reset it to exact gov time. I anticipate that when we change back to EDT on Mar 14 2021 (4 months,13 days), the watch wil be no more than 16 seconds fast! I have read many reviews claiming their Eco-Drive watches have run perfectly for 15-20 years without replacing the rechargeable battery. I also have a weekday Casio solar, atomic watch, which is about 11 years old and has never stopped. However, the crystal is scratched. This model Citizen has the sapphire crystal which is touted to be scratch resistant.
