Open box Brother drum unit
This item was listed as open box, new. When it showed up, the box was torn on the top flaps and taped back. The box looked aged and old. The appearance of the box shouldn’t affect the unit, but the plastic housing of the drum unit on the side was broken and split a little bit. I pushed the broken part back in place and the drum unit went into the printer without obstructions. It works fine but the print quality is is not great like the original OEM drum unit or an after market one I replaced it with. The non-printed area is not white on the printed sheet as it should be. It has a faint gray color to it. I tried and paired it with a brand new toner cartridge but the results were the same. I suspect this drum unit is not brand new as it was listed. I will see how long it will last.
