Good performance and a good value if you buy it used.
Good Wi-Fi performance. Rates well when tested against other similar routers.
Works well when flashed with open-source firmware such as Advanced Tomato.

Perfect fit, good value.
These filters are a much smarter choice than Pentair's cartridges. They fit perfectly and cost about 1/3 as much. My filter's backpressure is low and the water looks great.

Easier to operate than most other controllers. Remote access is a nice feature.
The single most interesting feature of this controller is the remote access. You can control it from your smart phone or web browser.
The control panel is easier to operate than most other sprinkler controllers, but it's still more complicated than necessary. The "smart watering" feature is a good idea, but the user interface is very confusing. Expect to spend hours experimenting with all the buttons and controls trying to get it set up properly. Orbit has an online help site but it's very lacking in details, so you're on your own for most of the complicated problems.
