Worth it for long cable runs
2 of 2 found this helpful I use a 25 ft coax cable from the antennae in the garage attic to the closest TV. The signal off the antennae is strong enough to pull in every channel. I needed to get the signal from the garage attic to the far end of my basement. I ran a 100 ft coax cable from the garage attic to the basement, but the loss of signal on this length of cable was too much to even get a picture. I connected the RCA amplifier between the 25 ft cable and the 100 ft cable placed in the attic. Keep in mind, the amplifier requires household electricity. The result was very good and I could pull in 52 channels and only 3 were still too weak to be viewable. The 52 channels had no pixelation and the picture was great.
