Great pair of Maui Jims!
I am very happy with these Maui Jim’s. They were in great shape, just what I wanted and they look brand new.

A collection of 6 short stories by a master story-teller.
This little book contains six short stories, or "sketches," of childhood experience during the first few years (1945-49) following the Second World War. The stories are semi-autobiographical, based on Ulitskaya's memory of her own childhood, when in 1949 she herself was 6 years old. The stories all have child protagonists affected by the war and facing challenging situations in everyday life. Though the stories depict some harsh realities in Russian society in the late 1940s, they are nevertheless optimistic, engendering hope for a better future. Ulitskaya is a master story-teller, and these little stories will help preserve the memory of childhood experience in the difficult postwar years for future generations of Russians.
