Wii Sports Resort - follow up to Wii Sports!
7 of 7 found this helpful I was introduced to the game a few months ago by my father-in-law and he was totally into the flying game - fly over the island and find these green check-mark circles and hit them, and also popping balloons. The game also required the MotionPLUS accessory (which I thought was just another ploy to be forced to spend cash on Wii accessories - again!). So when he first introduced it to me I wasn't impressed. That was until my son (2 1/2 year old) started playing at nana and pappies house! He loved the flying game also so I borrowed it from them. My wife and I started to play the flying game and we got hooked, very fun and the MotionPLUS makes the game so exact - it is awesome! My son loves to crash the plane into everything - don't worry the pilots always parashoot out to safety... I then started to browse the other games - loved them all, especially the archery shooting and frisbee (dog catching the frisbee and frisbee golf). My wife beats me brutally at the frisbee toss game (seriously the first video game she is good at! I tell her this all the time!) and my son loves to watch the dog catch the disk.
Twelve games total - bowling, frisbee, wakeboarding, sordplay, archery, basketball, table tennis, golf, power cruising, canoeing, cycling,and air sports. Something to fit your mood just about any time.
It is a truly family friendly game - most games can host up to 4 remotes. Most games require the MotionPLUS accessory and some require the nunchuck as well.
I bought my game on ebay and was pleasantly surprised to also get a MotionPLUS adapter in my package (it was not advertised as having this! - BONUS!!!).
I did also purchase two additional motionPLUS adapters on ebay for adding family and friends. There are a host of adapters and add-ons available for this game and they only add to the amount of fun you can have with the game.
Is it for everyone? YES - as long as you remember it is a G rated family friendly host of games - all cartoonish graphics and no blood or "real" violence. The downside - having to purchase another motionPLUS, but now I am looking for games that use this adapter because I know the motion commands will be outstanding! On eBay, the accessories and game are very INEXPENSIVE!!!
An excellent game for family-fun-night, to entertain family and friends at gatherings and visits, and easy entertainment for children.
