DAIWA SS Whisker SS-1300 SS-2600
3 of 3 found this helpful I'm 57. Freaking love these reels. Bought my first one used in mid 80's. I just recently sold my penn Torque-7G to buy more, 2-ss1300 and 2-ss2600. Will be getting Ss-1600 soon. I always have used heavier reels than needed. The SS series is so well built with tank like qualities and the ability to stop fish much larger than a reel of these sizes, theirs no need to go bigger or more expensive. I still own 5 shimano baitrunners ( collecting dust ). These are just more fun. Buy these reels you not only won't be disappointed you will be thrilled. Puts the wow into all your fishing !! Not just in the big fish !!!

Dynamite comes in small packages SS package
I have two ss2600 and two ss1300 freaking love these reels. I down sized from shimano baitrunners. I was tired of wind knots and heavy reels. The DAIWA SS reels have a GREAT drag setup. I recently sold my Penn Torque7G to purchase more SS reels their just that good. Best power to weight ratio you can get in a spinning reel. I can't hit hunny holes with these ss's that the shimano's couldn't cast too !!! Buy a couple of each and you will retire your other reels !! I fish big cats and have zero complaints !!!
