Over Priced for What it Is, But Unless You Save Your Caps...
Over Priced for What it Is, But Unless You Save Your Caps you don't really have a choice. Good for keeping the dust and dings out of cables and sockets

A Good Weather Clock with Some Gotchas!
0 of 1 found this helpful I had an 10-year old version of the La Crosse Technology Atomic / Weather Station / Projector clock. I never seemed to be able to get it to set the time automatically, even though I saw it try, it never connected. And the menu buttons were backward if you were trying to set the clock. It finally died with internal power supply issue.
This is MUCH better. The setup is much easier, the button labels face the right direction and it connects via internet. I also had to buy a new external sensor from their web-site (the old clock came with it).
The clock is setup via an app on your phone (either Android or iOS). That is also how you add additional sensors via a scan of the devices bar codes.
HOWEVER there are some gotchas! It only connects with an older 2.4 Ghz router, if you have a new 5 Ghz, it WILL NOT WORK! The second is that the wireless chip in the unit failing is a know issue and La Crosse has a replacement policy. (See their web-site).
Now this also come with the option for a subscription for AccuWeather. I'm not sure if this affects the clock or just the app. If it's the app, I don't care, if it's the clock and I lose part of the display I'm going to be ticked. The data should come from NOAH and be parsed locally. We will see in 15-more days,

Fun flashback to my younger days.
2 of 2 found this helpful More then a decade before Jessica Fletcher started having friends and relatives killed off by the dozen, 30 years before a visit by Rosemary & Thyme would equal a banshee’s call, there were the Snoop Sisters.
Two of the great movie and theater legends, Helen Hayes and Mildred Natwick starred as Ernesta Snoop and Gwendolyn Snoop Nicholson respectively were a pair of sisters that wrote fictional mysteries and solved real ones by knowing someone that knew someone.
It was a delightful showcase for the two actors and you could tell that they had fun with the roles.
Unfortunately, the series only lasted 5 episodes, but that was NBC’s fault, rather then a flaw in the show.
While it’s now somewhat dated (look at the hair styles and “cool” lines), the acting and plots are just plain fun. It is a true pity that Art Carney did not continue in the role as Barney.
