My past experience with Ideal tools has ...

My past experience with Ideal tools has been good which is one reason chose these wire strippers. That was not the case with this item. The center pivot was loose allowing lateral movement of the cutting knives. The tension/tighghtness appeared to be able to be adjusted but I was unable to do so. The spring to open the handles was weak which did not open the grips firmly. This, combined with the loose pivot point, gave the tool a loose/floppy feel in the hand.
