Bad Lot???

I must have received a bad lot of batteries as they do not hold their charge like my last set. I use 8 of them in a holder for a metal detector. The old set I could detect longer than 8 hours. The new set is dying after 4 hours and at first I thought something was wrong with my metal detector. When I switched to regular batteries the metal detector sprung back to life. I have always purchased PowerX because they are so good and hold a charge but after getting this bad lot (16 of them) I may have to find another alternative.
