Either a really bad cooler or I got a defective product
4 of 4 found this helpful I received this cooler about a month ago and the first two weeks it worked fine and then one morning I woke to find that the machine had leaked out a ton of water all over my carpet. The leaking is random. Sometimes it's from the back of the machine, sometimes from one of the wheels, and sometimes from the sides. I've tried for the past two weeks different options to salvage the purchase and all I've ended up with is a destroyed carpet and soaked towels. The "cooling" factor of this product isn't worth the endless leaking.
As far as the actual fan goes skip this product. It doesn't make the room any cooler. It's just a glorified fan that doesn't pump out that much air. Save up your money for something better. It's a waste of money.
