compact and talented standard range zoom
Small, reasonable fast f/3.5-4.5, 1:2 closeups with minimal hassle. It's not silent-focus nor weather-sealed but the price reflects that. I don't see a reason for any other standard zoom unless weather sealing is a vital issue.

ideal combination of size, speed and field of view
3 of 3 found this helpful Hard to find any fault with this lens - very small, fast, slightly wide, and produces great pictures. I seldom shoot at f/2 but image quality is still very good at that setting. The only issue is finding a hood or filters for 43mm - but NX 20mm f/2.8 also takes 43mm so accessories can be used for both (assuming hood is wide enough for the 20).
