Birgitta of Sweden: Life and Selected Writings by Birgitta of Sweden

Great introduction to a Saint for our troubled time
This Paulist Press edition of selected writings of St. Bridget of Sweden serves as a good introduction to her witness and exposition of Godly revelations about why we live and how to serve. These insights cannot be found in any other saint and her teaching for the Church universal are as profound as any you will ever read. She is a contemporary of St. Catherine of Siena and her writings are more direct as to the role of Church and its leaders. History has neglected her magnitude and JPII went far to re-establish the integrity of her writings by naming her co-patroness of Europe in 1998. As well as giving a learned access to the work of St. Bridget this low cost available volume will promote the need for the revival of her witness and revelations from God.
The Glories of Mary : A New Translation from the Italian by Alphonsus Liguori...

Top translation of the classic describing God's greatest creation.
Who dares to begin to describe the glories of God's Mother? St. Louis de Monfort wrote that "God created a home for man and he called it earth. He created a home for the angels and he called it heaven. He created a home for Himself and He called it Mary." In the corridors of eternity God held a secret on unspeakable grandeur: He had a Mother. First revealed at Nazareth, she became fully recognized by the universal Church at the Council of Nicaea (325 AD). St. Alphonsus Liguori, the spiritual giant of the 18th Century, set out to collect, collate and dramatize the glories of the Mother of God. This classic plumbs the depth of the length and breadth, heights and depths of the Almighty's crowning creation. This definitive English translation of captures the spirit of wonder and awe that the Church Fathers on down could sing of Mary in text and prayer and love. The Redemptorists do well to honor their founder who so well expresses mysteries of Mary revealed to the Church and to the author himself. This is the only English translation that we need.
