Barbie History
I was surprised to see this doll available at such a low price. Winning the auction I looked forward to having such a cultural artifact from television history. I can remember seeing this doll in the toy department at Grants-next to Ken and PJ! I was three when this show premiered and this doll was displayed prominently in the front of the store with the rest of Barbie’s friends and accessories. I’m a white man and as a child I can remember the events and history of the time through television. This doll is problematic in some ways of course but at that time it was a good step forward to show inclusion to children who might not have seen representation in any other way. Go Barbie!

Great as an escape!
I bought this for a good friend for Christmas. I was unaware of its existence but I am sure he will remember watching it. The video case and extras will be appreciated as well! I am sure that the same quality of production was paid to this video as the regular series.
