Recommended winter tire for Prius application
Tires arrived nicely in only a couple of days. As ordered in sizing - no mistakes. Saving about 25 percent over what I would have paid to the local tire jockeys who get "normal retail" on these.

Needs directions
You'll get the switch, a circuit diagram printed on the side of the switch, and nothing else.
It probably won't match your previous switch - Makita has upgraded the switch (nice job actually.) Using the Internet you'll find others who have had the same problem. The salient thing to remember is the switch has two circuits - one "variable" circuit and the other a "push is on" circuit. You want to land your wires on the "variable" connection identifiers as shown on the diagam.
One more thing the Internet teaches you. The "input" (line cord connections) are "screw tighten" connections using a small screwdriver - the output (variable voltage to tool motor) are one way push "clutch" type connections.
But the supplier/manufacturer doesn't tell you this.
They should. Like the high quality tools and parts Makita makes the rest of the time.
Unlike that American made red/grey tool which is only surviving on their reputation.

Ok gear but not for mechanically disinclined.
1 of 1 found this helpful The gear is a "modern replacement" for the original. Ideally EXACTLY the same size as the original, but in this case a bit "off."
This gear is produced by a "printing" process driven by computer. It lacks a little in finish (you can see the "lines" of the printing/moulder) which continue into the teeth of the gear and into the shaft hole/recess where it is mounted.
This makes the gear difficult to fit - I finally resorted to clamping the gear/shaft assembly in a vise and "interference fitting" the gear into place. This force fit kind of obviates the need for the little spring keeper which I found difficult to insert since the gear also runs a little "thick" but I was with difficulty able to insert. Sanding of the gear front & back before driving on would make this work better.
Good value? Perhaps. It is a little thicker overall which may be an advantage strength wise over the original gear. But not a "plug & play" gear replacement. And not a part for the less mechanically inclined.
