    Precursor for Knowing the Narcissist
Before he reached YouTube fame for his several videos on Narcissistic Personality Disordered people, Dr. Carter was cutting his teeth on the concept of Imperative People, you know, pushy, bossy, domineering, and controlling folks who can hardly maintain relationships. In this book, he really tries to reach those whom he may likely now call the unreachable; but he puts forth a valiant effort in his attempts to get these difficult people to cultivate their strong, perfectionist KC personalities into healthy ones of strength. However, I think he’s learned over the years that “imperative people” rarely ever think they themselves have weaknesses and can only function by and thru their superior strength. It’s all good advice and counsel, but directed to an audience of closed ears and blind eyes; they don’t think they need help and they would t buy such a book. They would instead receive it as a gift from downtrodden loved ones and would likely cast it aside as unnecessary. They might possibly read it once loved ones have abandoned them, because they’re just too obdurate to have a natural give-and-take in their relationships. Unfortunately, it’s their way or the highway, and they don’t mind you hitting the highway; because they never really got that close to you to begin with. They are the narcissists Dr. Carter spends the majority of his time describing today; all while focusing his efforts on those who have surreptitiously attached themselves unwittingly to these self-absorbed, alternate-reality porcupines. Imperative People = Narcissists Narcissists = Poor, hopeless prognoses Narcissists’ Loved Ones = Beaten-down gluttons for punishment and future escapees refinding personal freedom.
