Good, not great.
1 of 1 found this helpful The bike is fun! Tech support is lacking. No user manual so I have no idea what the glowing blue button in the middle of the handle bar is for.
It is a solid bike, and definitely worth the purchase. The feel could be smoother. Definitely not the same feel as a studio bike, but definitely better than regular indoor bike. Also, the gear used to increase/decrease the resistance is controlled through the app and it’s not at sensitive. I spend way too much time trying to increase and decrease the resistance--which isn't quick to change.
When I turn the resistance knob on the Echelon bike, it seems that I have to turn it multiple times to make the adjustment in resistance level. Other bikes are very sensitive and I am able to make changes to the level with very little effort. This is very helpful as you ride as I can instantly adjust and focus more on the workout rather than spending time cranking the knob to adjust the level. I'm not sure if this was just perhaps a defect in the Echelon bike that I received or if it was designed that way.
The plastic holder for the tablet is flimsy and cheap--not to mention the water bottle holder. Overall, I’m basically satisfied, but there’s lots of room for improvement!
It would be helpful if you could modify the app to accept heart rate information from a variety of different devices. For me specifically, it would be nice (especially given that the interface is on an iPad) if you could pick up heart rate information from an Apple watch.
