Eivets Rednow (Stevie Wonder) CD
This strictly instrumental album was released incognito by Stevie Wonder in 1968 under the name Eivets Rednow (Stevie Wonder spelled backwards). The album cover has no picture of Stevie, just a set of drums, bongos, keyboards, a harmonica, and the printing "eivets rednow featuring 'Alfie'". It was released on the Gordy record label (Stevie's recordings were usually released on Tamla; both Tamla and Gordy were subsidiaries of Motown). The probable reason for this was that Stevie had been an established Top-40 pop-soul vocal artist at Motown, and this was a different, sort of easy listening, jazzy musical direction. The album marked the beginning of Stevie's quest for creative independence, which he would achieve with great success in the 70's, along with song ownership rights.
In the album, Stevie plays harmonica, clavinet and percussion (no vocals). It features a beautiful version of "Alfie", from the 1966 movie starring Michael Caine; previous vocal versions had been hits for Cher, Cilla Black, and Dionne Warwick. Stevie's version was released as a single, also incognito as Eivets Rednow, with "More Than A Dream" on the flip side of the 45 RPM record, and peaked at #66 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1968.
Stevie Wonder is one of the great musical icons of our time. Originally a great vocalist and harmonica player, in "Eivets Rednow" he further developed his talents with other instruments, particularly the keyboards. His masterpieces "Talking Book", "Innervisions", "Fulfillingness First Finale" and "Songs In The Key Of Life" are testaments of his lyrical and musical genius.

Excellent protection for my iPhone
Excellent protection for a very reasonable price. I wouldn't carry my fragile iphone without anti-slippage and accidental dropping protection, which the Otterbox Defender provides. They offer several color combinations to choose from, and the holster is very nice.
