CPU get as toasty as the 10gig ports are fast.
1 of 1 found this helpful Like others have said. The board does run quite toasty if left alone. Added airflow drops the cpu temp significantly. IPMI works and both network ports connect as 10gig so really it's perfect for what I need.
Only thing that's odd is the temp reporting in the IPMI does not work until it has booted an OS. A bit odd but not a deal breaker. Probably get another one if need an over-powered OPNSense box.

Works fine.
The adapter works just fine. The pictures gave the impression it came with a heatsink. It did not but still had the thermal pads. Otherwise works great with the WD Black nVME drive I'm using. Would recommend again but please make clear if it comes with a heatsink or not.

Fantastic little OPNsense box
1 of 1 found this helpful It's small, silent, and still came equipped with a pcie slot. Works great with a pcie riser and gigabit nic. Good little firewall box.
