for fans of massive noise only!
This pedal is an anomaly; it's probably close to thirty years old yet nothing manufactured since has come close to creating the fullness and presence of this pedal. I don't understand how or why it happens, but when every knob is turned to max, you can summon the perfect BUZZSAW TONE! I bought this pedal because I really like old Swedish Death Metal, and because after I played a gig with Black Breath I really dug the fullness of their sound, but it wasn't until I actually sat in the basement and jammed on this thing that I really appreciated it. You can read about how cool it is all you want, but you cannot really appreciate it until you play on the thing and find yourself trapped playing Left-Hand Path riffs, it's absolutely remarkable. Other than creating the buzzsaw tone this pedal is essentially useless, so the only reason to get this thing is if you want to create a wall-of-sound sound out of any amp. I now run my neck pickup through this through an 8x10 and it sounds like armageddon. I also run my bass through this pedal.

Who needs real sports anyway?
As unfortunate as it is to say, everything I know about footbal was learned from NFL Blitz 2000. This game truly stands as a monument to the few great sports video games. Regardless of whether or not the computer is way too difficult on single player, its the multiplayer that makes this game timeless. (Upon asking friends who grew up with the game if they can beat the CPU's, all positively replied, "No, its impossible.") What can be better than running plays like "spider legs," "blizzrd," "Da Bomb," or those complicated ones no one knows how to use on page 3 of the play selection. The nuances are what make this game memorable. It doesn't matter if everyone ALWAYS uses a fake field goal when offered the chance to kick, thats what makes this gem timeless, the quirks. Playing this now 8 years later with much more maturity and mastery of the N64, NFL Blitz 2000 remains a game I play almost weekly with a group of friends. Pathetic or nostalgic? You decide, but I always play as Denver.
