Reminds me to practice
Affordable, sturdy and stable, and it doesn't distract from the instrument itself. I'm a brand new beginner and thought leaving the guitar in its case would be fine. A teacher and some other guitarists recommended keeping my guitar on a stand, so that it's not out of sight and out of mind. It turned out to be good advice, and it's nice and easy to pick up my guitar for practice at any time.

Value for money, the peak of excellence in the mid-range options for artists
Beautiful pens. Great flow, very fine control. I was most interested in high-quality fineliners but I have rapidly fallen in love with the brush tip pen included, which has a variable line weight that makes it ideal for calligraphy.

Great value, portable case, lovely soft taklon brushes with the trusted name of Mont Marte attached
Fantastic quality for a hobbyist or beginner, or as general-purpose brushes for a more experienced artist. You can't beat the value for money. While you may prefer a pricier brush, possibly mink, for fine details or the most visible layer, taklon in general - and these well-made, nicely trimmed brushes in particular - holds colour beautifully and has a smooth, soft feel. In my opinion it gives plenty of control and it is easy to attain a uniform finish if that's what you want. I have heard raw white taklon performs a little better and these are dyed, so if that's a concern, keep it in mind. Really, though, I think these brushes are an absolute bargain for the price. I haven't pushed them to their limits yet but in my experience both taklon and Mont Marte products in general last a fair while, so I believe I'm getting plenty of bang for my buck, particularly since this set offers a broad range of general-use brushes for small to medium projects.
