Olympus E 5 - the real deal.
2 of 2 found this helpful I moved up from an E 520 which I still have. The new E 5 is absolutley a delight. The first pictures i took of our new grand daughter I sent out via email to the rest of our family. My brother, who shoots Hasselblad, was blown away. He's looking at an E 5 to replace his older Canon DSLR. I heard Olympus may be discontinuing their SLR lines. This would be a very stupid thing to do. I don't think Canon, Pentax or Nikon will discontinue theirs. From the OM1, OM2 to the now E 5, Olympus has a long history of this type of camera venue. Smaller is nice - but it doesn't get it for the long haul. Still love that the stabilization is in the camera body and not the lens.

Good quality and does what is advertised. Nothing fancy.

So far so good.
You can get good (long lasting) batteries and bad (short lived). Only time will tell on these and I don't want to wait for months to write a review.
