Just like Grammy's
It will be fun to review entries from previous years as the years roll on. I was reading my Grandmother's 5 year diary and it inspired me to start one of my own. Can't fit much in each block only 4 lines, so need to write small or concise. Plus fun comments from Jane's characters .

Greyhounds of the Sea by Carl C. Cutler (1984)
The Clipper ships, those that built them and those who sailed them made the USA the powerful nation it became. I have always been fascinated by the courage and skills of the crews who built and sailed these ships. Our library had the original edition of Greyhounds of the Sea. I read every page and soaked in every image and hoped someday I would own the book. The 3rd edition isn't as beautifully bound or printed as the original, but it has all the information and images and will hold up better as I read and re-read. My children's history book gave one sentence to the Great Age of Sail defining the dates. When they showed me that, I had to show them how much more the Great Age of Sail meant to the development of this country. This book sums it up. The summary takes 688 pages, not one sentence. It is a great book for historians, engineers, writers, sailors, carpenters, transportation managers, sociologists, politicians, speed freaks, extreme sports enthusiasts and anyone interested in tales of the sea.

Strong grip
Strong enough to hold a winter coat. I had to reshape the hook to fit over the bar I hung them on.
