First impression: great value!
1 of 1 found this helpful Haven’t had it long and I’m no expert but after a ton of research and several returned devices to other retailers I went for this a few days after the price went up. So far I’m loving it and can’t imagine doing much better for the money (aside from catching the sale a few days earlier but I’m happy enough to not mind the small difference).
The things it doesn’t have I can easily live without and wouldn’t expect for the price (Thunderbolt port and upgradeable storage being the bigger ones but there’s always a compromise or two in this price range).
Clean look, seems well built and has run everything I’ve needed very well so far. Usually plugged in but in my limited experience battery life does seem pretty decent.
I had the i7 model but decided touchscreen was important enough that I sacrificed it for this i5 at a similar price. For my purposes so far it really hasn’t felt like a downgrade. Definitely great for the basics and probably quite a bit more.
