These are the detachable sling swivels against which all others are measured. ordered these to use on my new PA10 308Win rifle. They are ultra heavy

This is an EXCELLENT handgun gunsmithing book
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this book because I liked Sweeney's rifle gunsmithing book so much. I have not been disappointed. It covers pistols and revolvers, and has material ranging from jobs easily done by the home shadetree 'smith to work that would need to be done by professionals. Sweeney helped me diagnose and treat a Government Model 45 ejection problem with text and photographs that were much more helpful than even the classic, seminal "The Colt .45 Automatic - A Shop Manual" by Jerry Kuhnhausen. Now my 45 doesn't eject fired cases straight back into my nose, drawing blood in the process. This is a very worthwhile addition to the handgun owner's library.

Kudos to Patrick Sweeney's rifle gunsmithing book
1 of 1 found this helpful I first encountered this book in our public library and liked it so much I wanted to add it to my collection of gunsmithing books. Sweeney writes very well with clear, understandable explanations and useful and interesting background information on various guns and methods. The photographs are well done and very helpful. Some of the jobs he explains are well beyond the scope and abilities of the hobby gunsmith, but the articles are very helpful in deciding whether or not to use the services of a professional and what to expect from him/her. I have been working on a Scout Rifle project and two chapters specifically targeted this area and were very helpful. Very worthwhile.
