Not able to enjoy movie due to stopping and starting of movie. Frame freeze.

DVD is skipping (start and stopping through the movie) and freeze up in other spots. I have requested new DVD that works because i love that movie. I said "no" on the questions because defected DVD, not because it a bad movie. a great movie.
