Poetry that tells compelling stories
A contemporary American poet who entertains and challenges you to see life in a new life. Dana Gioia is the first poet I’ve read in many years and he has influenced me to start taking poetry more seriously. For that alone I thank him

Anyone interested in books of the new testament should ready this guide
TThis book is a really good overview of the books of the new testament. Each book is covered in 4-5 pages or so. Barclay spells out the main focus of each book and its key themes. Although I have read all the new testament, and some of the books several times, I still have found many things that i wasn't aware of. I find Barclay a very compelling biblical scholar and his writing is always of a high caliber. Unless you are a biblical scholar yourself, I think you'll find this book valuable. And, if you haven't read Barclay before this is a very good place to start.

Okay - I didn't fall in love with Romance
This is the director's cut so some of the sex scenes get pretty graphic - I didn't have a problem with that - I knew what I was getting into from reviews I'd read. It's not a bad movie, but at the same time I didn't find some of the characters very interesting - part of that might be that the movie was made in France and while there is an English soundtrack, who knows what might have gotten lost in translation. So when I rate the movie as good value, and entertaining, yeah sort of. The main characters husband was very unsympathetic - I never did understand his motivation for refusing to have sex with her - other than he is just a jerk and full of himself. On the other hand Caroline Ducey, who plays the lead character, is extremely attractive. You can't help but like her. She definitely made the movie for me.
