Good upgrade for connectivity and latest technology
Nice unit, met my primary needs of updating my older Denon AXV-3805.
Set up is best accomplished through the Audyssey feature which calibrates the speakers with the included microphone (older units did not include the mic).
I run a 7.1 configuration with an additional, preamp supported, Zone 2. Set up can get dodgy - the manual is downloaded online and runs 298 pages.
I haven't noticed any appreciable differnence in sound quality.
Best feature which made it worth it for me is the ability to receive internet radio and streaming services along with the phone app control. There are hundreds of internet-based radio stations to choose from, along with Amazon, Spotify, SiruisXM, Pandora, etc all on the very good HEOS app which runs with the remote control app for the unit.
