From a whistle tutor...
At roots-school co uk we teach penny whistle, and over the years I have tried litterally hundreds of styles. Tony Dixon's metal tubed whistles can be relied upon to produce clean notes without squeaks and wolf notes in both registers every time. Expensive in comparison, but they save you that much money in trying out the lesser quality ones. I won't buy any other makes for my students.
UK based company, with excellent service and many accessories.
As a tutor, if you asked me which whistle to buy, I would steer you towards Tony Dixon.
I must say that Dixon's metal ones are far, far superior to his plastic ones. The plastic ones tend to be breathy and you have to blow hard to get a good tone. I don't recommend those.
Go for the metal ones. I do recommend those.

The beginning of a great series.
P. O'Brian is probably the leading authority on period Royal Naval engagements and tall ship sailing. Master & Commander is the first of his Aubrey/Maturin series.
The whole series is a captivating story and this book is not only the obvious beginning, but a good taste of what's to come.
You will enjoy it if you like seafaring, fast paced action with the occasional romantic side story.

Good price, good quality
So much so that I see they are putting the price up - which may affect this review at some point :)
Keep in mind that 1to1 music charge £11 per A string and NEVER deliver on time - this company aren't doing so bad.
