Great replacement for stock skid and crossmember.
The factory skids mount to the transmission cross-member... which is made of pretty thin metal. This skid plate replaces the whole cross-member and the factory skid with a one piece option. Nicely welded and smooth surface makes this a good skid plate! There are two other offered pieces to make this a whole skid plate system. An engine skid, and a transfer case skid. Each are sold separately. I am a bit of a backyard mechanic, and I reused the stock transfer case skid... First I took measurements, cut the skid plate to tuck up on top of the synergy skid. then using two of the holes on the synergy skid I drilled out the stock plate to line up with the holes. I purchased a couple matching flathead hex bolts and nuts and it tucks the factory plate into the system. At a later date, I can purchase the synergy skid and remove the factory one if I need to.
