Great value, surprisingly accurate time keeping, a little small
Be aware: this watch is hand-wound and mechanical, but not automatic. There's nothing wrong with this, it's just that i got the impression it was automatic, so i was slightly less stoked upon unboxing. However, the hand wound movements are often more accurate in general, so I'm told..
Surprising accuracy! This is the most time accurate watch i own (and yeah i only have mechanical automatic watches).
The good:
Stylish.. different looking enough that it has on occasion been a conversation starter. It's a very pretty sunburst blue, esp in light.
Goes with anything i wear.
It's best feature is that it is almost as accurate as my cell phone.. i have not noticed a measurable amount of fast or slow time keeping over the course of a month or two.. so this is quite impressive. I have not scientifically measured any of this, but anecdotally it keeps better y time than significantly more expensive automatic watches i have.
Screw down crown + seems like it has actual water resistance as advertised. Certainly fine in the shower.
The so-so:
The bezel is bi-directional (and it's not just a phase..) and does not click. Was stiff on arrival and i applied tiny bit of silicon/e ? Lubricant and now it's deliciously smooth but not lose.
Watch strap kinda low end, but fine for the price. I replaced with silver bracelet, looks more awesome now.
This watch wears a lot smaller than i was expecting, and this is on me, not on the watch or seller- i had less experience with watch diameters at the time and now realize 45mm and up is the sweet spot for my relatively average wrists.
The bad:
1. Shiny. Very shiny
2. Case back reacts to my skin- possibly it's the watch case.. regardless, leaves dark grey or black tattooage around watch perimeter on my skin, esp at the crown. I care less about this removable marking than i do the erosion of the metal off the watch, in some places revealing the brass? or at any rate yellowish metal underlying an unfortunately thin stainless steel plating... And maybe I've got the chemistry wrong here, but the point is the shiny finish is melting away revealing the underlying alloy of which the case is comprised.
Finally, i hand winding is not for me. But even if it were, this watch does not have in reality a 30+ hour energy reserve. I feel like it runs out in 24 or less, but in my mind, 30 hours seems like a lot, esp when thinking about working for this amount of time... But we have to remember, 36 hours go by really quick when running around the clock (pun!)
It's just a day and a half. And so I'm frequently running out the watch and having to reset time because i didn't wind it up every day.
But there's nothing wrong with the winding mechanism and it works as advertised, maybe less energy storage, but this probably varies watch to watch.
The lume is ok- kinda disappointing, but completely normal for it's class. I have $1000 watches that have similar lume qualities, which is extremely disappointing, so I'm not surprised or let down by the lume on this watch- I'm just saying like all these other watches up to around the $1k mark- (except for certain lume-fetishist manufacturers and excluding tritium..) that the lume more or less sucks. It's endemic to the industry. I miss some watches i had from the 80s that would keep you up at night with their glow. Anyway, this lume works-b it's definitely bright enough to read if you go to darkness, and fades rapidly within a couple of minutes... Just like every other watch i have purchased recently, even amidst claims of great lume from other manufacturers.
Bottom line: it's a cool watch, unique, masculine in style, derails precise, esp at this price point. I enjoy wearing the watch, even starting to like the ritual of manual winding, in spite of what i said above..
I paid around $45 shipping included, at the beginning of covid lock down, and it took 3 months to receive- oddly the delay was on the US side. Seller was awesome- provided tracking number and was honest about the whole process.
Came with instructions and no other original vostok packing, but this was advertised.
One last thing- terrible date adjustment process. It's hard to imagine the mechanism they engineered is somehow easier or mechanically superior to just being able to manipulate the date in straightforward manner through crown. You can either run the hands around the dial 12 hours at a time to advance the date, or rotate between 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock for "quick date adjustment"...
My watch thankfully arrived with date just a few days behind actual date, so it was easy enough to set up, but i "pity the fool" who's watch date is "1" but needs to be set to "31". Prepare for a little blister on the finger.
Crystal scratches fairly easily, but it has a cool dome shape.

Superb! Quiet, powerful, bargain!
I've been using rotary hammers for a few years in professional residential construction. This unit is as powerful (at the business end of the bit) as the Bulldog, and the equivalent Hilti models. For the price, its a no brainer (i paid around $120). You're getting a unit that is guaranteed to work and is as clean as a new unit! So why buy some battered abused tool for $99 (or more!) When you can get a new unit. Plus it comes with a nice long warranty that the used tool doesn't.
Pros:
1. Cuts through 50 yr old hardened concrete like a hot knife through butter.
2. Anti vibration technology works! No vibes at the hands
3. QUIET! quieter than any other drill I've ever used, let alone in the rotary hammer category.
4. Great ergonomics, tool-less handle adjustments
5. Hamner-only function is legit: this thing blasts through concrete like you're poking through styrofoam with an ice pick.
Have not tried on pure smooth cement but i would imagine performance is as good if not better than other in-class models.
Cons:
1. There is at least one external plastic component of the SDS-chuck which seems to me should be metal or at the very least a bit thicker, because i could see where this part *might* crack under serious abuse of the tool, again, not through normal responsible use or storage of product, but it feels just av teensy bit chintzy.
2. The reverse switch also feels chintzy and undersized and it has a sightly different behavior than what you or i are used to, re: reversing. Read manual.
3. Disappointingly quiet. I'm not begging for hearing damage, but I'm going to miss those situations where I'm operating a tool that creates the kind of commotion that everyone briefly stops what they're doing to look in my direction, clearly envious of my kilowatt + output!
Bottom line: probably the smoothest, most cushy feeling rotary hammer I've used. Equally powerful and most importantly just as effective, maybe more so than any other rotary hammer in it's class. Super high quality refurbishment from CPO! To me it's new, i wouldn't know otherwise*
* Except they heat-brand the tool with a 14-point font "R" presumably to mark the tool as refurbished. It says a lot that they must deliberately mar the finish on the tool so that i guess it somewhat prevents people from pulling a fast one at retail big boxers... Somehow i was a little offended by this, like, my tool has a scarlet letter to wear. I sanded the mark off.
Overall a major bargain, huge value, excellent offering from CPO.
I RECOMMEND to anyone needing an entry level rotary hammer that punches above it's weight. I mean, look, it's a real Makita at harbor freight prices.
Bottom line: it's like driving a Cadillac through masonry.

Great value- sturdier than expected, comes with tip adapters!
Solid product for the price. Totally happy with these. Ironically the pockaging says in bold on each syringe "Single use ONLY" but I'm not using this for sterile medical things. So it's totally good to go in all aspects for multiple happy future re-use. Cleans up easily, barrel is sturdier than I was expecting, rubber "stopper" on plunger is double ridged- meaning it will grip better if you're using this to pull a vacuum, or shove fluid really hard. Each comes with a small plastic tip adapter which is cleverly engineered into the top of the plunger-you just have to wiggle it free. So this enables you to connect to just about whatever tubing you have around, and with a nice tight seal. I don't usually review things in this depth, but I really do like these. So far I have been using mine to inject toxic chems into a distillation batch that's under pressure, and these have held up well.
I really like that the top of plunger has a ring- this makes single-handing the job much more comfy on fingers and in between fingers, etc. No more un-chamfered surface digging into your finger webbing... (I'm not really awesome with simple tiny pain- a hangnail would disable me. Traumatic injury i handle a lot better. lol)
thanks!
