Timney Triggers Remington 700 Adjustable Thin Trigger Nickel With Safety 512THIN
    Mar 15, 2017
    Love it!
I've had a Timney 3# on one of my MSRs and absolutely love it. I've had a 22-250 Remington 700 that wasn't on the recall list but, still having the Walker style trigger (& a rather heavy one at that) I opted for an upgrade instead of possibly risking any safety issue....and simply to squeeze more accuracy out of that rifle with a little lighter and simply better trigger. I'm very glad I went with the Timney 512 THIN. I am pretty familiar with all firearm patterns but, even without much knowledge I feel it's an easy install (maybe a little tougher than a MSR drop in) but, a ~15min job start to finish. Quality was everything you'd expect from a Timney. I wasn't sure if I should stick with the standard shoe or thin but, very happy I did go with the Thin shoe that fits my hand and rifle perfect, makes it easy to make contact to the trigger in the same place each time. Once installed I played around with the pull weight setting it right around 2.75lbs, obertravel wasn't needed and slight "creep" adjustment (giving myself a little more then it came from the factory...I do like a LITTLE creep personally) and that was it. Again, start to finish even with all the adjustments to get it set right, from breakdown trigger install and reassembling the barreled action to stock was about a 15-20min process. Took it to the range for live ammunition function tests before re-zeroing and now I can't wait to get out in the field...this weekend, yotes and squirrels beware!!!:) If you hate a Remington that falls in they recall list or just looking to upgrade your trigger I'd highly recommend the Timney 512 (standard or Thin...that's a personal choice).
Seekins Precision Enlarged Winter Billet Trigger Guard - Black
    Feb 08, 2017
    Has its pros and cons
The trigger guard is built like a tank yet not too bulky...just a very sturdy feel. Installs easy, machined & finished beautifully, and more than generous enough window in the trigger guard for shooting with gloves. My one and only con, which did prove to be a problem is that the way it fits the 2 little cutouts along the side are extremely sharp, leaving a gap between the edge and ears of the receiver. I didn't know if I was being too picky or if it'd be a problem but, sure enough I did end up cutting my finger a bit by the end of a short range session. It was installed on a Anderson stripped lower so, just to check I (didn't set it, just put in place) it with a Spikes, RRA, and LRB lower as well and all had that same gap, edges a bit of a problem. With a liner glove only on to test it, it did snag more than a couple times. It may fit perfect in a Seekins lower or others but, didn't with mine. I'll probably end up filing them down a bit since the firearm is going to be cerakoted anyways but, I was a little bummed because I do like it in every other way. Just my humble 2¢
    NightForce SHV 4-14x50mm F1 Riflescope,Black,.250 MOA,Illuminated MOAR : C556

Best Scope on the market right now!
I've owned many optics and rifle scopes over the years but, I really think at this point, for the money and what you get the SHV F1 can't be beat. Love the FFP reticle, center only illumination (actually my preference to total illumination). I had been a 100% Leupold fan for over a decade, went back and forth on what I wanted for this particular rifle, felt the SHV F1 deserved a shot and although I still LOVE my Leupy's...I have another rifle on the way and looking in to another one of the NF SHV F1s. Crystal clear glass, positive clicks, no brainer zeroset, extremely rugged (only downside, a bit heavy at 30oz for a 14x high end magnification), holds it's zero after repeated recoil, and over $1000 less than scopes with the same or less then features. I love this scope! Don't buy it so I know there will be one available still when I can afford another:)
