Italian Longsword/ Cold Steel(88ITS)

When deciding to buy this sword, I wanted to buy a decent wall hanger- but I got much more than that... Received new order today, box was what boxes are supposed to look like, though impressive for cold steel- oiled blade had a sleeve over it- protectant from sitting long term & collecting rust- very well packaged, professionally wrapped... NOW......... This sword MUST have been inspected by someone who really cares about customer service- DARN...FINE...SWORD... Beautiful Sword- COMPLETELY KNOCKED MY EXPECTATIONS OUT OF THE PARK....THIS SWORD WAS DONE RIGHT!!! Especially for this kind of money- DEFINITELY DESERVES A REVIEW!! I will put it this way- I own another sword that I paid SEVEN TIMES MORE than this one- and this Italian Long Sword is faster, ALLOWS ME TO BE EXTREMELY AUTHORITATIVE WITH POINT CONTROL, THRUSTING IS EASY & EXTREMELY ACCURATE!!!this cold steel sword is more responsive, faster target hits, extremely easy to manipulate- now it does all of this at being just a few ounces heavier than a “Premier” sword- & priced at $1,200.00 less- NOT that the other sword I have is junk- it’s actually a work of art & constructed to last multiple lifetimes, but This Italian Longsword is able to keep up with Top-of-the-Line swords, quite easily in my opinion. Extremely Effective Weapon. I will say that weight transfer into target- while not being bad by any stretch- isn’t as full as the other sword I own- HOWEVER- Cold Steel seems to have MORE than made up for that by making this thing SHARP!!! Do be CAREFUL!!!! POINT & EDGE ALIKE!!!! I have also watched other reviews on this sword and of the reviews I watched it seemed like many people had problems with how their sword’s guard was placed- being that it rattled because it was loose!!! That would tick me off, and guess what... NOT ON THIS SWORD!!! Solid as a rock!!! Perhaps Cold Steel resolved some issues?? This sword is worth what I payed for & more... I am still kind of in shock with how well this thing was put together... VERY SOLID. VERY CLEAN. Extremely FUNCTIONAL. Another mentionable item of this sword would be the leather. VERY BEAUTIFUL & CLEAN! The stitching on the handle is offset to one side but still looks very nice. The leather is QUITE supple, it is very soft, which I’m not too worried about- (I won’t be beating the tar out of this thing) the scabbard is done nicely as well. The Chape & Locket are very nicely placed & Very Well Polished. The Sword’s guard, pommel & blade all have a beautiful polish. The sword does rattle ONLY just a bit in the scabbard- nothing major at all...actually kind of quiet- trust me, to all you ninja elite out there- swords rattled thousands of years ago, modern weapons do the same... that’s why the coined term, “Battle Rattle” exists...right!! I’m am very impressed by the quality of this sword for just over 200 dollars. It does VERY well by way of handling, performance & pleasing aesthetics- like ANY sword should- but this one in particular is a winner. Gorgeous...and for the money, VERY NICE PRODUCT!!!! Well Done, Cold Steel!!!!
