Unlocked Samsung Rugby II SGH - A847 - Black (AT&T) Cellular Phone

Works well.

I use this Rugby II for my Ting phone service. I don't have internet or email service, so I can't comment on those, but the phone works fine for phone calls, texting, and voice mail. After I downloaded my contact list to my SIM card, installing the SIM card transfered the contacts to the new phone. My voice mail continues to work without any changes on my part. Ting didn't require any notification to change to the new phone. The do have a page on their website where one can enter a phone's IMEI/MEID number to see if a phone will be compatible with their system. This phone is larger than my previous flip phone. It's much easier to open the because there is more surface to grab. The phone seems sturdy and well made. My previous phones have acquired damage from moisture and shock. The Rugby II, hopefully, will hold up better. The phone came with a charged battery and a recharger that plugs into a standard outlet. There was no owner's manual with the phone, but this is readily available as a free download on the internet. I have no trouble hearing on the phone, but my hearing is good. The battery lasts a week with my limited use.
