    Great little player
I originally purchased this player due to it's expansion slot, allowing for a virtually unlimited music collections on the go. Addionally, the price was right (about $30 for a refurbished unit from ebay). I found the user interface to be reasonably intuitive, and easy to use out of the box. This player supports playlists, that can be directly synced from Windows Media Player, or supposedly through Winamp. One issue regarding syncing with Windows Media Player, was that I needed to upgrade to version 11 of the Windows player, although the manual for the Sansa Clip indicates compatibility with version 10. Another plus for this player was the built in microphone, which initially I didn't have great expectations for (based on previous experiences), but after using this unit to record class lectures, I found it to be very usable for this purpose. After receiving my first unit, I decided to get one for my wife, and another for use in the car (replacing two cases of CD's that I used to carry around in the car). There are a couple of minor issue that keep me from giving this player a perfect rating: The refresh time after loading content, or swapping external cards can be slow. I am using a reasonably fast external card(class 6), and find that it takes about 5 minutes to refresh with a full 8GB card installed. Normally, this should not be a major issue for most users. When charging, the display stays on. From what I have read, the lifetime of this OLED display is only about 5000 hours, and for this reason, I don't like having it on all night just to charge the player. I have found a workaround for this, by turning the the unit off after it starts charging, but causes the media refresh routine to run at the next power on (another 5 minute wait). Pros: Expandable capacity via the micro-SD card slot Reasonable price Allows use of playlists Long play time between battery charges Intuitive user interface Built in microphone works great for classroom lectures or meetings Cons: Refresh time can be slow after adding new content, or swapping external card. Display remains on while charging, thus reducing the life of the display Lithium battery not easily replaceable, making this player disposable after the battery dies.
Neewer 860/N3 Shutter Release Transmitter Receiver for Canon EOS 7D 5D 50D 40D

Not Bad, not perfect, but worth the price
Overall not bad, build quality appears good, and seems to function reliably, but there are a couple of things that could be better. The power button on the receiver can accidentally be pressed while in your bag, and drain the battery, a minor issue that could of been prevented or reduced by using a slide switch. This remote works well for most shooting situations, but not so good when using continuous mode for action or exposure bracketing. In continuous mode, instead of sending one long shutter signal, which would allow camera to shoot at maximum frame rate, this remote cycles the shutter press and release about once per second (not a continuous shutter press signal). The continuous mode on this remote defeats the camera's ability to shoot bursts at it's maximum frame rate, limiting it's use for action, additionally with exposure bracketing the user will need to count the number of frames to match the 3, 5, or 7 frames that the camera's is set for. A work around for this is to set the remote for 'Bulb' mode, and camera in continuous, then press once to start the burst and then press again to stop. The camera will then automatically capture the required number of bracketed frames, or capture action at the camera's maximum frame rate.
Roku 3700RW Express Streaming Player w/HDMI & Remote Control

Great Starter Box for Cable Cutters
After 9 days, so far so good. Good selection of free content, including movies, TV programs, as well as some live content. Options are available to subscribe to paid content on a a-la-cart basis. I bought this primarily for streaming from my local media server, and so far seems to work well. There is a newer version of this available for about the same price, which is supposed to be 5x faster, but this one seems reasonably robust, at least so far.
