Look the part.
Admittedly, I haven't yet used the new seals, but I can say they look and feel the same quality as the existing. They are very slightly smaller which may be the result of the existing ones expanding over their lifetime. The new seals do press snugly into the unit, though.

Cheap, but a bit rough
Used on a Nikon 18-55 lens as supplied with D5100. Although the hood does the job, it does not regain its circular shape when deformed - as would happen, for example, when it is wedged against the internal wall of a camera box. You need to press around the hood it till it's approximately circular again as viewed from the front of the camera. This may be a cosmetic, rather than an optical, problem, but it certainly doesn't look very smart. To be fair, I don't know if all such hoods have the same problem. Also, if the hood is fully retracted, it prevents the rotation of the lens from 18mm to 55mm.

Excellent chair, and good value for money.
Comfortable and with easy-to-use controls. Easily wipe-cleaned.
