So far so good

The product got here in a timely manner. It was packaged well and protected. There was no external mic or a remote, but honestly I.m not sure if it was even included in the ad. Hooking it up was a different story. I have pretty extensive back ground in car audio (though I haven't done it in a few years). The instructions are not detailed enough. For example in order for the monitor to power up when the vehicle was placed in reverse you had to supply + to one of the orange wires on the head unit (which appear to be illumination). After some trial and error I figured it out. There were a couple of other nuances I can't remember now. I've used the following functions since installed 5 days ago (I also took it on a 1200 mi road trip in that time): radio, bluetooth phone, nav & music & back up camera. I haven't tried updating the navigation maps, not up to date and no voice input available as far as I can tell. In the end it works well and looks good. I would have given it a 5 star if it wasn't for the lack of instructions.
