Caution when connecting to hot water outlet
I think it is a very good product. It works better than I expected. My only reason for giving 4 stars is the connection to the hot water outlet. The unit comes with a plastic shower head/line which is expected to be used from the hot water outlet. I intended to connect to a pex tubing via a standard female adapter but the threads aren't a normal 1/2" male. Trying to tighten to prevent leaking even with Teflon tape didn't stop the leaks. There was no room behind the connection to put a wrench to tighten properly as there was with the cold water inlet. This side was held in place with a plate screwed to the unit but that wasn't enough to replace using a wrench. As I tried tightening my connection to it I wound up twisting the copper pipe inside the unit. Fortunately once I discovered what happened I was able to undo the damage sufficiently without ruining the unit. Water flow may be slightly reduced but not enough to cause anything major. Bottom line, watch out when connecting to the hot water outlet.
